“Beach Ball” is guitarist Dirk K’s celebration of the life and music styles where the sun always shines. The influences heard here range from Brazil to Los Angeles, Wes Montgomery to George Benson. Dirk chose a stellar group of musicians to accompany him: pianist Alan Pasqua is a consummate keyboard player; Marc Johnson is, as always, the perfect bassist for any project; and Peter Erskine on drums.
